Essential improvements
Installation instructions
|
- Download the latest version of TS2 Redux from the project's GitHub page.
- Extract archive to any (not requiring administrator rights) folder on your PC.
- Double-click file named
TS2_Redux-Installer.bat and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Unlocks TimeSplitters 2 hidden in games files without having to play through the game, fixes many game breaking bugs, remasters some in-game and menus textures and adds some QoLs.
- Allows to delete most of the Homefront: The Revolution files to reduce game size from 46GB to 2,5GB, keeping the base game's .exe to let you customize your controls and video settings.
- Allows to make special launcher, which skips Homefront: The Revolution menus and boots right into TimeSplitters 2 menus.
- When launching through Homefront: The Revolution extras, Timesplitters 2 Redux will share your video and input settings.

Issues unresolved
No icons in Main Menu
Some users have reported the game failing to render any menu icons. Running a certain AMD APUs may be the cause. No solution is known currently.
Enemies disappearing
Sometimes the game removes enemies and other NPCs if they are still relatively close to the player but not in plain sight anymore. This can cause the randomly spawned side objectives (like saving a civilian) to just disappear after running around a building.[citation needed]
