Multi-monitor

The game has built-in support for 5:4, 4:3, 16:10 and 16:9 resolutions. For multi-monitor aspect ratios and resolutions, an .ini edit is required.

Use Homefront Widescreen Tool[1]

Use the Homefront Widescreen Tool to set the resolution and other options.

Set resolution manually[2]
  1. Go to %USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\HOMEFRONT\GCGame\Config\GCEngine.ini
  2. Change the following lines to the desired resolution:
[SystemSettings]
ResX=2560
ResY=1080
ScreenAspectRatio=2.370370

Notes

Screen change is Hor+. The HUD & lobby screens stretch.
ScreenAspectRatio should be set to (Your Horizontal Resolution)/(Your Vertical Resolution). 2.370370 is appropriate for 2560x1080, while 3440x1440 should be 2.3888889. An incorrect value will result in a slightly horizontally stretched image.
If you get a stretched weapon, open the graphics menu in-game, then exit it without making any changes. This should reset the weapon to proper proportions.

  1. 1.0 1.1 File/folder structure within this directory reflects the path(s) listed for Windows and/or Steam game data (use Wine regedit to access Windows registry paths). Games with Steam Cloud support may store data in ~/.steam/steam/userdata/<user-id>/55100/ in addition to or instead of this directory. The app ID (55100) may differ in some cases. Treat backslashes as forward slashes. See the glossary page for details.
