Ultra-widescreen

Use the Heavy Rain Ultrawide and Multimonitor patcher[2]
2560x1080, 3440x1440 and 32:9 patchers are available.
  1. Download one of the patchers.
  2. Unpack the archive and point the patcher at <path-to-game>\HeavyRain.exe
Some of the UI elements will be scaled correctly, while others will be stretched.
Results in more horizontal and vertical FOV - no pillarboxing.
The FOV compensation method leads to scenes appearing significantly zoomed-out compared to the original.

Vertical sync (Vsync)

Edit the config file[3]
  1. Open <path-to-game>\user_setting.ini.
  2. Find VSync=1 and VSyncInterval=1 and set both values to 0.
  3. Save the file and launch the game.
Running above 60 FPS might cause issues with animations.
Adjusting the in-game Limit FPS setting will require closing the game and editing the file again.
