All versions require Battle.net DRM and a constant internet connection for all game modes, as well as a free Battle.net account.
All expansions and Adventure packs (excluding Heroes) can be purchased with in-game gold, making them effectively "free" (700 gold per Adventure pack "wing", with each Adventure pack containing 4-5 wings)
Individual cards from all released decks can be made via the in-game crafting system (even discontinued expansions). Note that cards from Adventure packs can only be crafted once they have been discontinued
As of February 2, 2016, expansions and Adventure packs older than 2 years after initial release will no longer be sold in the in-game store, with newer expansions taking their place[4]
Cards from discontinued expansions and Adventure packs cannot be used in Standard play[4]
