Key points
- "Returning" Xbox 360 and PS3 players can redeem exclusive content in the PC version.[2]
- Players with non-standard characters in their Windows username needs to edit it to run the game at all. This has been acknowlegded by Rockstar. [3]

"The Rockstar update service is unavailable (code 1)" error on launch or hang when updating
- This issue is caused by an incompatibility with certain characters in Windows user names.
- A future update will patch this issue; in the meantime it can be worked around by making another Windows user account.
"ERR_GEN_ZLIB_2 Failed zlib call. Please reboot or reinstall the game"
Rockstar has commented that the redownload of the game will fix this error[6].
