"Cannot locate the CD-ROM" error after patching the game

After patching the game to the latest official version (v1.13), the game cannot detect the disc, even if it's in the drive. The only "solution" is to use a No-CD patch.

Due to the legality of the patch, PCGamingWiki cannot directly link to any downloads of it.

Game crashes at the end of graphics calibration

Game always asks for graphics calibration on game startup

Issues fixed

Black screen on startup

Enable the following compatibility settings for the Gp3.exe file: Compatibility mode (Windows XP (Service Pack 2))

Adding compatibility for modern Windows

Use dgVoodoo 2[citation needed]
  1. Download and setup dgVoodoo 2.
  2. Once the initial setup is done, go to the MS subfolder.
  3. Copy the D3DImm.dll and DDraw.dll files and paste them into <path-to-game>.
  4. Run the game.
