Connection types

Issues unresolved

Game crashing when enabling any of the anti-aliasing options in the settings menu

Workaround: Force anti-aliasing in the GPU control panel[citation needed]

Issues fixed

Can't change the resolution in the settings menu

Change Windows compatibility mode[citation needed]
  1. Right-click Gore.exe and select Properties.
  2. Go to the Compatibility tab.
  3. Make sure Run this program in compatibility mode for is checked and set to Windows XP (Service Pack 2).

Another one approach:

Change via console command[citation needed]
  1. Open up a console via button (~) or in Main Menu -> System Options -> Console.
  2. Use command "res 1920x1200" (where 1920x1200 - put your monitor's resolution).
  3. Go to Main Menu -> System Options -> Video Options and click "Apply Changes". OR use command "reset_renderer".

Game zoomed in at high resolutions (DPI issues)

Change high DPI settings[citation needed]
  1. Right-click Gore.exe and select Properties.
  2. Go to the Compatibility tab.
  3. Near the bottom of the window, select Change high DPI settings.
  4. Make sure Override high DPI scaling behaviour is set to Application in the drop down list.
  5. Click on Apply and launch the game.

Rocket Bug (Jumping bug)

When running the game with more than ~495 FPS, the player may be unable to perform jumps (also, jump boosts from ladders), and firing the Rocket Launcher might unexpectedly fire all rockets.

Cap FPS to less than ~495 FPS[citation needed]

SmokeCloudLauncherSystem problem

After connecting to the server in Multiplayer game and loading game's data, the game might not show player selection menu or go directly to observer mode, if round is in progress.

Manually select player type[3]
  1. Press Esc.
  2. From the menu which appears, select Player Options.
  3. Select Player Selection.
  4. Choose any class or observer mode.
Use console[3]
  1. Open the in-game console.
  2. Type either playermodel player (to choose UMC team) or playermodel mplayer (MOB team).
