Key points

Alternative to mouse input on supported devices (Tablets, some laptops, many all-in-one PCs, Steam Deck).
Many games on Microsoft Store are built to be touch-friendly, most commonly in non-Game Pass games.
Most PC games aren't suited to touch input due to expecting the greater precision of a mouse cursor. This can be mitigated to some degree with a touch pen designed for phones.
Some games have a touchscreen mode that has to be enabled first while others are inherently touch-friendly.
Many games that can be controlled entirely by mouse and the left mouse button, can be de facto considered to have touchscreen support. This includes many turn-based strategy (e.g. Ganbare! Super Strikers), 2D puzzle (e.g. Swim Out), tile matching (e.g. Candy Crush Saga, Simon's Cat: Story Time), and card (e.g. Hearthstone, Hoyle Casino (2000)) games.

Touchscreen mode

Some games have a designated touchscreen mode; enabling this changes right-click behaviour and some game elements to be more convenient.

Inherently touch-friendly

Some games are designed for mobile platforms or are otherwise suited to touch input without any further changes.
