To be implemented with a post-launch patch; only available in DX12 mode. Can still be enabled with tweaking, see Enable Ray Tracing.
The game engine may allow for manual configuration of the game via its variables. See the Unreal Engine 4 page for more details.

Enable Ray Tracing

While this method allows you to enable Ray tracing in the current build of the game, it will cause a lot of graphical and performance issues.
  1. Go in the Steam properties of the game and make sure that Launch with DirectX11 is ticked.
  2. Still in the game's properties, enter the -dx12 launch argument. This will make the game launch with DirectX 12.
  3. Start the game and the ray tracing option will appear in the settings of the game.
