Go to the configuration files location. Open hardwaresettings/hardware_settings_config.xml with a notepad. Search for <anisotropic_filter level="16" /> and change it to either "0", "4", "8" or "16". Save and set file to Read-only, failing to-do so can overwrite the previous steps if settings are changed in-game.

Search for <antialiasing smaa="false" taa="true" checkerboard="false" /> and change the desired AA method from false to true. Save and set file to Read-only, failing to-do so can overwrite the previous steps if settings are changed in-game.

The game requires a CPU with some unknown SSE4 instructions^{[citation needed]}. A patch to make it work at least on the latest Core 2 and Phenom models exists.
