Having more than one monitor can cause game-crippling lag.

If problems persist with either method below try running the game in Zoom Mode instead of Fullscreen Mode.

Set single display mode (Nvidia cards)^{[citation needed]}
Open the NVIDIA Control Panel. Make a new profile for Fortune Summoners (`sotes.exe` in the installation folder). Under 3D Settings choose Manage 3D settings. Change multi-display/mixed-GPU acceleration to single display performance mode. Click Save to save your changes. Run the game again.

Disable additional monitors^{[citation needed]}
Disable additional monitors. Start the game. Enable the monitors when finished.
