Use the Camera Utilities for Security Breach mod
|
- Persists through cutscenes, allows granular FOV control and does not break FOV adjusting game functions, and offsets LOD
- Also includes optional headbob removal and UltraWide fixes.
- Download the mod from Nexus Mods and follow the instructions.

Change the Field of View (FOV) with Unreal Engine Unlocker
|
- Cutscenes and hard loading screens reset this value until it is set again.
- Breaks various FOV functions such as sprinting and hiding FOV, as it sets it globally.
- FOV is considered in LOD calculations. Increasing the FOV without offsetting the LOD range will result in low quality meshes and pop-in.
- Download Unreal Engine Unlocker and run it as an administrator after launching the game.
- Press ~ to open the console in-game, or use your custom mapped console key.
- Type
FOV ### to set a value of your choosing.
- Press enter to apply.
- Repeat these steps after death or cutscenes.
|
Change vertical FOV constraint settings by modifying Engine.ini
|
- Does not allow custom FOV values, only constrains your vertical FOV value across aspect ratios; results may vary.
- This will not persist through cutscenes, resulting in inconsistent FOV.
- Navigate to
%LOCALAPPDATA%\fnaf9\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor.
- Open
Engine.ini in any text editor.
- Press Ctrl+End to jump to the end of the file, and press ↵ Enter to add a new line. (Optionally press ↵ Enter once more to add empty space between sections.)
- Using Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V, copy and paste the following lines on the bottom of the file:
[/script/engine.localplayer]
AspectRatioAxisConstraint=AspectRatio_MaintainYFOV
5. Save the document with Ctrl+S and close it.
|
Enable VSync by modifying GameUserSettings.ini
|
- Navigate to
%LOCALAPPDATA%\fnaf9\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor.
- Open
GameUserSettings.ini in any text editor.
- Using Ctrl+F, Locate the
bUseVSync=False line and change "False" to "True" so that the line reads bUseVSync=True.
- Save the document with Ctrl+S and close it.
