Key points
- Port of the Android/iOS version.
- Prerendered backgrounds are extremely low-resolution; a fan-patch is available which replaces them with upscaled versions.
- Features higher-definition (1280x960) CG cutscenes, and improved character models.
- Includes achievements, auto-save, and various boosters such as high-speed mode for battles.
- UI is unchanged from Android/iOS version.
- 16 direction analogue movement is not supported.

FFIX Field Patch
- Improves the resolution of the game's prerendered backgrounds.
Moguri Mod
- This is another work-in-progress background mod which improves the resolution, but using an advanced upscaling method which adds detail, making it superior than the mod above. Sample images can be seen here. Discussion is here.
