Exile III: Ruined world is the third game in the Exile series.
Exile III: Ruined World was released in 1996 for Macintosh and 1997 for Windows, and was available as a shareware download that could be unlocked with a registration key or ordered as a CD-ROM. The full, registered version of the game for both Windows and Macintosh was later released as a free download on the developer's website. It was also released for Linux in 2000, and the Linux version remains available for purchase.
It was remade as Avernum 3 in 2002.
