Key points

The game has been remade as Avernum.
This game is a 16-bit application and will not run natively on 64-bit Windows.

Exile: Escape From the Pit is the first game in the Exile series.

It was originally released in 1995 for Macintosh and Windows 3.1, and was available either as a shareware download that could be unlocked with a registration key or ordered as a CD-ROM. The full, registered version of the game for both Windows and Macintosh was later released as a free download on the developer's website.

It was remade as Avernum in 2000.
