Increase Rendering Resolution

Play at 1080p or higher
  1. Download dgVoodoo D3D9 Beta.
  2. Extract dgVoodooCpl.exe and dgVoodoo.conf to <path-to-game>, where EdEddEddy.exe and EEE.exe reside.
  3. Open the MS folder in the dgVoodoo zip and extract DDraw.dll, D3DImm.dll, D3D8.dll, and D3D9.dll to <path-to-game>, again where EdEddEddy.exe and EEE.exe reside.
  4. Open dgVoodooCpl.exe.
  5. Make sure the Config folder / Running instance is set to <path-to-game>, it may already be there by default.
  6. In the General tab, set Adapter(s) to use / enable to your current graphics card, Appearance to Full Screen, and Scaling mode to either Stretched, keep Aspect Ratio or Stretched, 4:3 Aspect Ratio.
  7. In the DirectX tab, make sure Disable and passthru to real DirectX is unchecked, and set Resolution to Max. You can uncheck dgVoodoo Watermark if you wish.
  8. Optional: under Texturing, set Filtering to Force anisotropic 16x and set Antialiasing (MSAA) to 8x to enable anisotropic filtering and antialiasing respectively.
  9. Click Apply and exit the program.

Notes

You must run EdEddEddy.exe for fullscreen, EEE.exe runs in windowed, 640x480 mode.

High frame rate

Uncap the frame rate from its default 30 FPS[5]
  1. Go to the installation folder.
  2. Open engine.ini
  3. Change MaxFPS = 30 to your desired value.
  4. Save the file.

Notes

Character outline squiggle speeds up above 30FPS.
Loading times improve with higher FPS.
Camera rotation slows down at ~90 or higher FPS.
The AI controlled Eds will travel closer together, and thus jump frequently, at FPS higher than 150.
