Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires is a singleplayer third-person hack and slash, strategy and open world game in the Dynasty Warriors and Warriors series.

It was first released in East Asia^[1] with the available languages of Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese and Korean on December 23, 2021, and launched in 2 different edition for purchase: The normal edition and the Deluxe Edition. Deluxe Edition consists of Season Pass DLCs and two pre-order DLCs, one of it which is only available for free within 14 days starting from Asian and Western launch date.

A patch was released on January 14, 2022 to fix a bug in which the game supposed to give out a bonus gem if you have save game of Warriors Orochi 4, Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate, Dynasty Warriors 9 or Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires.

English, French, German, Italian and Spanish languages were added on February 15, 2022 in conjunction of console release in Western hemisphere.^[2]
