Dynasty Warriors 4: Hyper[2] is a third-person hack and slash game developed by Omega Force and published by Koei Tecmo. It is a part of the Dynasty Warriors franchise within the larger Warriors series.

The game was first released on PlayStation 2 in Japan on February 27, 2003 before porting to PC. PC port, which comes with higher resolution, better shading and adjustable graphic options compared to PlayStation 2 version, was first released on March 30, 2005[3] in Japan while Traditional Chinese version and Korean version was released on July 15, 2005[4][5] in Asia and Korea. English version was released on December 9, 2005 for North America and Europe region, and Simplified Chinese version was released on August 8, 2007[6] in China followed by Russian version which was released on February 12, 2009.
