Field of view (FOV)

Use DLL injection with Cheat Engine[citation needed]
  1. Download Hattiwatti's DLL - works with patch 1.2[6] (exe v1.75.0.7) and patch 1.3 (exe v1.75.0.12).
  2. Download and install Cheat Engine.
  3. Once you have started the game, use the button at the left top in the Cheat Engine window to open the process selector and choose "Dishonored2.exe".
  4. Open the "Memory View" window with the button on the left.
  5. Select "Inject DLL" in the menu "Tools", then select the DLL file you unpacked from the ZIP. Confirm "Execute?" with yes.
  6. You can close Cheat Engine. Mind that you have to inject the DLL whenever you run the game, if you want the FOV features.
  7. In the game, use PageUp and PageDown to change the FOV. You can also press Home to toggle HUD objective locators without having to go through the menus.

Anti-aliasing (AA)

SMAA anti-aliasing is a lower cost solution for eliminating jaggies that looks sharper and better than FXAA/TAA and gives better performance.
SMAA via Reshade with dynamic mask that doesn't affect UI[citation needed]
  1. Disable in-game anti-aliasing.
  2. Download custom Reshade.
  3. Copy archive files to <path-to-game> .

Issues fixed

Unable to enter Fullscreen

Change value in CFG[citation needed]
  1. Go to %USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\Arkane Studios\dishonored2\base\
  2. Open dishonored2Config.cfg with a text editor and look for r_fullscreen
  3. If present change value from 2 to 1 otherwise add r_fullscreen "1" manually at the end of the file and save.

Unable to invert controller Y axis

Caused by the game recognizing the gamepad as a mouse input due to a Steam setting
Change setting in Steam Big Picture settings[citation needed]
  1. Open Steam Big Picture mode
  2. Click on the gear in the top right (settings)
  3. Go to Controller Settings
  4. Uncheck Xbox Configuration Support or PS4 Configuration Support depending on the controller you are using

Dirty glass effect on screen

Part of the game's visuals so there is no official way to disable the effect
Disable Bloom[7]
  1. Open the Options menu from either the main menu or pause menu
  2. Open Visuals and go to the Quality Settings tab
  3. Set Bloom to No
  4. Close the menu and save your settings

  1. 1.0 1.1 File/folder structure within this directory reflects the path(s) listed for Windows and/or Steam game data (use Wine regedit to access Windows registry paths). Games with Steam Cloud support may store data in ~/.steam/steam/userdata/<user-id>/403640/ in addition to or instead of this directory. The app ID (403640) may differ in some cases. Treat backslashes as forward slashes. See the glossary page for details.
