Issues fixed

Game is infinitely scrolling after using the Steam Overlay

Enter Windows Device Manager and disable devices[citation needed]
  1. Open Device Manager from Windows Start Menu
  2. Expand "Human Interface Devices" list
  3. Find and disable device labeled "HID-compliant vendor-defined device"
    • There may be more than one device with that label. Try disabling one by one to see which one is causing the issue.

Notes

When you reopen the game after you have disabled the device, the infinite scrolling shouldn't happen after using Steam Overlay.

Fix stuttering

Alternative solutions
  • Download and install Rivatuner, add DevilMayCry5.exe and limit Framerate to desired fps.
Use Direct X 11
  • Go to your \SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Devil May Cry 5\ folder.
  • Open dmc5config.ini
  • Change TargetPlatform=DirectX12 to TargetPlatform=DirectX11
  1. This seems to fix the issues for people with low RAM or VRAM, or is experiencing stuttering or desync issues during cutscenes, gameplay

Lens Flare Censorship on female bodies

Devil May Cry .ini has a distinct option for Lens Flare.
  1. Go to your \SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Devil May Cry 5\ folder.
  2. Open dmc5config.ini
  3. Change LensFlareEnable=true to LensFlareEnable=false
  4. In order to get rid of some cut sense censorship at the beginning mission 7th, you have to change DepthOfFiledEnable=true to DepthOfFiledEnable=false
  5. Save your changes, enjoy.
  1. (Lens flare may be used in other places in cutscenes, however the writer hasn't noticed any changes).

Contact Shadows

How to use сontact shadows constantly:
  1. Go to Steam\steamapps\common\Devil May Cry 5\.
  2. Open dmc5config.ini.
  3. Change ContactShadowSetting=CUSTOM to ContactShadowSetting=ON.
  4. Save your changes.

Contact shadows will be used during gameplay, not just for the cutscenes.
