Disable steam overlay^[5]
Right click the game in your steam library and select properties. Uncheck "Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game" under the "general" tab. Click close in the bottom right corner to save changes. Game should now boot without crashing.

High Frame rates will cause the character will move extremely slow.
