High frame rate

Raise the framerate cap to 240 FPS by hex editing[2]
  1. Go to <path-to-game>\resource\bin\
  2. Open Application.exe in a hex editor such as HxD.
  3. Search for 41 55 55 85 41 and replace with 41 71 1C 87 40.
When finding and replacing these hex values, make sure that the find/replace tools are using the "Hex-values" mode.
Alternatively, the hex value can be changed to use a custom framerate cap by dividing or multiplying the desired framerate cap by 60 (depending if the number is larger or smaller than 60), and then dividing 16.66666603 by the result of that calculation. For example, a 30 FPS cap hypothetically can be achieved by 30 / 60 = 0.5, taking the result of that calculation to do "16.66666603 / 0.5 = 33.33333206", then using HxD's replace tool's floating point number utility to find and replace the 16.66666603 value with 33.33333206.
Raise the framerate cap to 240 FPS by patching Application.exe[3]
  1. Download the FPS Uncap Patch.
  2. Unpack the archive (using the password mentioned in the file description).
  3. Launch the patcher and change the target file to <path-to-game>\resource\bin\Application.exe, before pressing "Start".

Issues unresolved

Performance issues

Several reports indicate that performance issues are present, even on hardware that is within the listed system requirements.[4][5][6][7][8][9]
Lowering the in-game graphics options may not result in significant performance improvement.[10]

Exclusive fullscreen mode stretching selected resolution to desktop resolution

This happens when using a desktop resolution with an aspect ratio that is wider than 16:9 widescreen, regardless of whether aspect ratio preservation is enabled in the Nvidia Control Panel or AMD Radeon Software.[11]

Issues fixed

Resolution limit lower than current resolution when using DPI Scaling
The game limits resolution options based on the DPI Scaling settings set in Windows. For example, if a 3840x2160 resolution is being used, but DPI Scaling is set to 200%, the in-game resolution will be limited to 1920x1080.[12]
Windows 7 users may need to use the fix mentioned for 4K resolution to work properly, as noted by the announcement for the 7.09.2019 Build update.[13]
Instructions[14]
  1. Open the <path-to-game>\resource\bin directory, right click Application.exe, and go into Properties.
  2. Open the Compatibility tab, and go into Change high DPI settings.
  3. Enable Override high DPI scaling behavior and have the dropdown box set to Application.
  4. Press the OK button to exit out of the DPI properties, and then press Apply in the file properties to save changes.

Notes

  1. When running this game without elevated privileges (Run as administrator option), write operations against a location below %PROGRAMFILES%, %PROGRAMDATA%, or %WINDIR% might be redirected to %LOCALAPPDATA%\VirtualStore on Windows Vista and later (more details).
  2. 2.0 2.1 File/folder structure within this directory reflects the path(s) listed for Windows and/or Steam game data (use Wine regedit to access Windows registry paths). Games with Steam Cloud support may store data in ~/.steam/steam/userdata/<user-id>/990050/ in addition to or instead of this directory. The app ID (990050) may differ in some cases. Treat backslashes as forward slashes. See the glossary page for details.

Tested by lowering graphics options and adjusting the in-game resolution. Based on testing, raising the in-game resolution to "4K Native" on an RX 5700 nets equivalent performance to running at 1080p.

Tested with a 5120x2160 custom resolution and 200% DPI scaling on a 2560x1080 monitor. When the 1920x1080 option is selected in-game, it centers on the screen similarly to what would happen at 2560x1080. When selecting 2560x1440, the image appears zoomed in, due to having a higher vertical resolution than what typically happens with native resolution.

"*Note: In order to allow 4K settings to work properly, Windows 7 users must first access the Properties menu of the EXE file and change the DPI setting to "Application" (please see image below). Afterwards the 4k resolution should work without issue. Non-Windows 7 users will not need to do this."
