Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise is a singleplayer third-person open world and TPS game in the Deadly Premonition series.

Currently the game is missing basic resolution settings, display mode settings, and other PC-specific options. The game does not support mouse and keyboard and uses Switch' controller layout remapped onto Xbox Controller layout, which results in illogical situations where - for example - B is used to confirm action, while A is used as a cancel - the opposite of standard used by vast majority of games.

Field of view (FOV)
Windowed
No in-game option to change window state; can be changed between borderless and windowed with Alt+ Enter. Defaults to borderless fullscreen on each launch.
Borderless fullscreen windowed
Anisotropic filtering (AF)
Enabled by default for all textures. Can be modified using Sui's Hack.
Anti-aliasing (AA)

60 FPS and 120+ FPS
Camera movement is locked to 50 FPS, so there is judder when the refresh rate is not a multiple of 50 (50 Hz, 100 Hz, etc.).
High dynamic range display (HDR)
See the glossary page for potential alternatives.
Ray tracing (RT)
The game engine may allow for manual configuration of the game via its variables. See the Unity page for more details.

Force screen resolution

Use a third party program to force the game to your desktop resolution[2]

This can be done with at least two methods:

  1. Use Special K to overwrite the resolution via the in-game Special K overlay. To do this click your window resolution in the aforementioned overlay at the top and it should activate. Because it doesn't stay upon re-launching, you must go into the overlay and re-click "Override Resolution" or "window resolution" to get it to change it again.
  2. Use Borderless Gaming. Once the game is loaded press Alt+ Enter to get it to go into windowed mode and then use Borderless Gaming to force it back to borderless windowed mode. This time it should be at your desktops resolution.

This also works to get rid of the pillarboxes for 21:9; game is Hor+ and UI mostly scales well. However, some UI elements that were not meant to be seen seem visible.
