Field of view (FOV)

Add FOV hotkey[1]
  1. Open %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Daylight\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\Input.ini, if empty instead try <path-to-game>\Daylight\Engine\Config\BaseInput.ini
  2. Go to the [/Script/Engine.PlayerInput] section.
  3. Add the line ExecBindings=(Key=F10,Command="FOV 90",Control=False,Shift=False,Alt=False) (replace 90 with the FOV you want).
  4. Press F10 during gameplay to apply the FOV change.

Input

Remapping

Keys must be rebound manually in the .ini files[2]
  1. Rebind your keys in %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Daylight\Config\WindowsNoEditor\Input.ini.
  2. If you plan to use the left and right arrows for strafing, you need to delete their bindings from the "Turn" command.
  • Curiously, in-game tutorial button prompts will correctly display the rebound keys, even though the game doesn't allow key rebinding as a default feature.

Issues fixed

Change language

Daylight ignores the language set in the Steam library, instead using the current Windows display language.
Change language[3]
  1. Go to <path-to-game>\LimaGame\Content\Localization\LimaLoc\
  2. Go to the folder for the language you want.
  3. Copy LimaLoc.archive and LimaLoc.locres.
  4. Go back and go into the folder for the language the game is currently using.
  5. Paste LimaLoc.archive and LimaLoc.locres here, replacing existing files when prompted.
  6. The game will now run in the language you copied.

Notes

  1. 1.0 1.1 When running this game without elevated privileges (Run as administrator option), write operations against a location below %PROGRAMFILES%, %PROGRAMDATA%, or %WINDIR% might be redirected to %LOCALAPPDATA%\VirtualStore on Windows Vista and later (more details).
  2. 2.0 2.1 File/folder structure within this directory reflects the path(s) listed for Windows and/or Steam game data (use Wine regedit to access Windows registry paths). Games with Steam Cloud support may store data in ~/.steam/steam/userdata/<user-id>/230840/ in addition to or instead of this directory. The app ID (230840) may differ in some cases. Treat backslashes as forward slashes. See the glossary page for details.
