Patches

There are two official releases of Croc: Legend of the Gobbos. The original release only supports 3DFX graphics cards, editions later on added DirectX support, as well as some file changes. Use the Croc Unofficial Update to update an older releases to the DirectX compatible one.[1]

Notes

Compatible with all fan created content.

Croc Definitive Patch

Use a fan patch
Make a backup of Croc.exe and the gdata folder, in case anything goes wrong.
  1. Download the patch here.
  2. Unzip the contents of Croc Definitive Patch.zip into <path-to-game>.
  3. Start the game with Croc.exe.

Notes

Can not be used together with the "Music Patch", it provides it's own solution.
On weaker PC's, higher resolutions runs slower, change lighting to "Medium Lighting FX" or lower the resolution if lag occurs.
Gives the ability to use every type of soundtrack (PC, PSX and DEMO).
No need for wrappers, works with Windows 10.
Widescreen.

Music patch

Use a custom patch[2]

Notes

Replaces the redbook audio soundtrack with the soundtrack from the PS1 version, which includes numerous more tracks not present in other versions.
