Ultra-widescreen
Natively supports 32:9. Black bars will be shown at 21:9. It is possible to hack ultrawide into the game using a HEX editor. See Ultra-widescreen fix.
4K Ultra HD
[1]
Field of view (FOV)
Can be modified to support ultra-widescreen. See FOV fix.
Windowed
Borderless fullscreen windowed
Referred to as "Windowed Fullscreen".
Resolution is locked to display resolution.
Anisotropic filtering (AF)
The game always uses x8 anisotropic filtering.[2] See Anisotropic filtering (AF).
Anti-aliasing (AA)
TAA. See Downsampling for SSAA
Vertical sync (Vsync)
60 FPS and 120+ FPS
Plays at an uncapped framerate.[1]
High dynamic range display (HDR)
There are references to HDR in the GameUserSettings.ini file, but further testing is required to see if HDR is tonemapped properly. Console versions did not have HDR so PC HDR is unlikely.
Ray tracing (RT)
Color blind mode
Options for deuteranopia, protanopia, and tritanopia are available.
A concentration slider is also available and can be set in intervals of 1, from 0 to 10.
The game engine may allow for manual configuration of the game via its variables. See the Unreal Engine 4 page for more details.

Downsampling

Use Unreal Engine 4 resolution scale[citation needed]
  1. Go to the configuration file(s) location.
  2. Open Engine.ini with preferred text editor.
  3. Add the following to the end of the file:
  4. [ConsoleVariables]
    r.ScreenPercentage=100
  5. Change 100 to your desired value. 200 means double the dimensions from resolution selected in settings menu.
  6. Save the changes and start the game.

Anisotropic filtering (AF)

Custom anisotropic filtering
  1. Follow the instructions to enable the developer console in the game.
  2. Press ~.
  3. Change r.MaxAnisotropy = 8 to the anisotropic amount, e.g. r.MaxAnisotropy = 16.
Requires to be run after each game launch.

Ultra-widescreen

Use a hex editor[citation needed]
  1. Open Lava-Win64-Shipping.exe in your preferred hex editor.
  2. Find and replace 3B 8E E3 3F with the following based on your desired resolution:
    • CD CC CC 3F for 1440x900
    • 00 00 A0 3F for 1280x1024
    • 26 B4 17 40 for 2560x1080
    • 8E E3 18 40 for 3440x1440
    • 39 8E 63 40 for 3840x1080
    • 9A 99 19 40 for 3840x1600
    • 00 00 A0 3F for 4120x1024
    • 39 8E 63 40 for 5160x1440
    • AE 47 A1 40 for 5292x1050
    • AB AA AA 40 for 7680x1440
  3. Set the Search Direction to All.
  4. Select Replace All.
  5. Click OK to confirm and then click Save (Ctrl+S) and you’re done.
Pre-rendered cutscenes will be stretched.

Field of view (FOV)

Use a hex editor[citation needed]
  1. Open Lava-Win64-Shipping.exe in your preferred hex editor.
  2. Find 35 FA 0E 3C which will appear 5 times. Replace it the last time it occurs with the following based on your aspect ratio:
    • 35 FA 38 3C for 21:9
    • 41 E4 52 3C for 32:9
  3. Click OK to confirm and then click Save (Ctrl+S) and you’re done.
Note that the FOV varies widely in this game, so any static hex fix won't always scale the FOV as it scales in the unpatched game.
