Key points

Lacks native XInput support, requiring the use of a XInput wrapper (see XInput wrappers) for games that do not support DirectInput or the controller natively.

Nintendo DSi revision has two inner and outer 0.3 megapixel digital cameras.

Use with PC platforms

Windows

Run the ds2key.nds homebrew application on Nintendo DS and run server application on PC.
Supports Action Buttons - normal button input, 𝗔, 𝗕, π—Ÿ, π—₯.
Exact mouse movement - Touching the middle of the touch screen sets the cursor on the Middle of the PC screen.
Mouse Touch Screen buttons - the screen is divided into having 12 buttons working similar to the normal buttons.
Guitar Hero Grip buttons - all four buttons act the same as the normal buttons, but have their own settings.
Mouse Clicks Left, right, and middle buttons

Linux

Run the ds2key.nds homebrew application on Nintendo DS and run server application on PC.
All functions work as they do in Windows.

Hardware

Wireless Gameboy Controller

Transmitted keys: ↑, ↓, ←, β†’, sα΄›α΄€Κ€α΄›, sα΄‡ΚŸα΄‡α΄„α΄›, 𝗔, 𝗕, π—Ÿ, π—₯.
Supports: Gameboy Advance, Gameboy Advance SP, Gameboy Micro, DS and DS Lite. Can works on the Revo K101+ system too.
Range: At least 4 metres line of sight; you can increase the PPK to improve it slightly but it also depends on how the cart is oriented when playing (there can be some dead zones) and if your fingers/body is close to the wireless module.
Refresh rate: Every 2ms, the keys are checked and a packet is transmitted to the receiver.
Requires aditional USB receiver. Bluetooth version is wishlisted and might be developed later.

Steam

Can be recognized as Xbox 360 controller but after manual assignment. Controller cannot be found in Supported Controller Database, so Steam recognizes it as standard DirectInput device.

Support for some controller features may be only available on certain systems. Refer to game-specific articles for details.

Games with controller's speaker support

There is no application yet which unlocks controller's built-in speaker to be a Windows output device.
Cemu emulator allows to use secondary audio device (gamepad) in general audio settings, but Nintendo DS cannot be used as Windows output device yet.
Built-in speaker cannot be used with Dolphin emulator yet.

Games with microphone support

Games with implemented voice chat are able to use controller's microphone, but microphone support for Nintendo DS is not implemented yet.
VoiceBot and VoiceAttack allows to control games and applications by voice commands.

Games with motion control support

Requires DS Motion Card and DS Motion Pak. They each contain a 3-axis accelerometer and a single-axis gyroscope, and plug into the DS to enable full motion sensing on the DS and the DS lite.[1]
Number of games which natively support motion controls is limited and gyro support is still not a PC standard.
There is no application which properly emulates motion controls.

Games with touchpad support

Touchpad is placed on the front of the console. The functionality of the touchpad can differ from between games.
Thanks to ds2key.nds homebrew application, touchpad can be remapped as mouse in any game.
Number of games which natively support touchpad controls is limited and touchpad support is still not a PC standard.

Games with controller's camera support

There is no application yet which unlocks controller's built-in camera to be a Windows web camera device.
Nintendo DS's front camera support for PC games is still in development stage.
Cemu supports games where front camera can be used in-game.
