The MOZA R9 is a racing wheel base by released by MOZA Racing on March 10, 2022.[1]
The R9 has the radial flux direct-drive force feedback system, with the peak torque of 9 Nm. The housing is made of aviation-grade aluminum for better rigidity and heat dissipation. The ports on the R9 vary between revisions.
The original V1 wheel base only has two accessory ports, with one RJ12 port for dashboard and one RJ10 port for E-stop switch. Superseded the V1 is the V2 wheel base that added more wheel rim compatibility. The V2 wheel base was later superseded by the V2.5 wheel base, which added one RJ45 ports for pedals and two RJ12 ports for shifter and handbrake. In addition to the standalone wheel base sets, the R9 is also available in multiple bundles that include the wheel rims. The V3 wheel base was later released in March 2025, featuring a updated 21-bit magnetic encoder.[2]
On PC, the R9 is compatible with several games, but must have MOZA Racing's Pit House (which include the driver package) installed to work. Because both V1 and V2 revisions of the wheel base doesn't have a dedicate RJ11 port for pedals, a USB-powered pedals is required for a complete setup. Button layouts vary between equipped steering wheels/hubs.
