Sony Music Entertainment (Japan) Inc. is a Japanese music arm for Sony.
It was founded as CBS/Sony Records, a joint venture between Sony and Columbia Broadcasting System. After the acquisition of CBS by Sony in 1988, it was renamed to the current name.
While its primary business is music entertainment in Japan, it does occasionally publish PC ports of games in Japan, starting with Twisted Metal in 1996.
