Company:Brasoft
Brasoft Produtos de Informática Ltda. better known as Brasoft, was a Brazilian developer and distributor of electronic games and programs.
BraSoft was founded in 1984 by Paulo Milliet Roque, and its initial objective was to translate and adapt foreign software for the Brazilian market. It's first product was a word processor called WordStar, which was entirely in Portuguese, including its box and manuals. In 1986, the company managed to reach 50% of the Brazilian word processor market.
However, unable to adapt to market transformations, the arrival of foreign publishers, the growth of piracy and the expansion of the internet, Brasoft ended up closing its activities in 2004.
