Issues unresolved

Huge FPS drops on modern systems

Setting the Environment Map setting from Cubic to Bump or Standard should give the biggest speedup
Lowering in-game Draw Distance also seems to lower the impact on performance
These issues might be resolved by enabling "Always Use 3d Clock" or equivalent in your vendor's GPU overclock utility.[citation needed]

Issues fixed

Fullscreen border on Windows 8 and later

Install compatibility fixes[3]
  1. Download and install the Windows ADK with the Application Compatibility Tools.
  2. Run the Compatibility Administrator (32-bit).
  3. On the left side, rename New Database to CMR2Fix.
  4. Right-click it and create new application fix.
  5. Choose a name and the file location (CMR2.exe).
  6. Click on Next twice.
  7. Enable the ForceDisplayMode and ForceSimpleWindow compatibilty fixes.
  8. Click on Next and Finish.
  9. Select CMR2Fix and save it as a new file.
  10. Right-click on CMR2Fix and install.
