Widescreen resolution

Set resolution manually[citation needed]
  1. Go to the configuration file(s) location.
  2. Open SumacEngine.ini.
  3. Change ResX and ResY to the desired resolution.
  4. Change Fullscreen=True to Fullscreen=False for windowed mode.

Field of view (FOV)

Set custom FOV[2]
  1. Edit the in-game key bindings to use "zoom hold" instead of "zoom".
  2. Go to the configuration file(s) location.
  3. Open SumacInput.ini.
  4. Under [Engine.InputActionDefinition] find the following line.
    Actions=(Id=IA_ZoomHold,Alias=".ZOOMHOLD",Names=("Zoom"),Command="ZoomIn | OnRelease ZoomOut")
  5. Change the line to the following where 100 is the desired FOV.
    Actions=(Id=IA_ZoomHold,Alias=".ZOOMHOLD",Names=("Zoom"),Command="ZoomIn | FOV 0 | OnRelease ZoomOut | OnRelease FOV 100")
  6. Under [SumacGame.SumacPlayerInput] add the following line.
    Bindings=(Name="F2",Command="FOV 0",Control=False,Shift=False,Alt=False)
  7. When a cutscene starts playing, press F2 to use the default FOV during cutscenes.

Notes

The FOV will lower when aiming to zoom in, then zoom out to your desired standard FOV on release.
This fix may or may not break sniper scopes.[citation needed]

Borderless fullscreen windowed

Set borderless windowed[citation needed]
  1. Install Special K by following the Special K Unofficial Guide.
  2. Start the game in windowed mode and press Ctrl+ Shift+← Backspace to toggle Special K's Control Panel.
  3. Expand "Window Management" and "Style and Position".
  4. Enable "Borderless" and "Fullscreen (Borderless Upscale)".

Anisotropic filtering (AF)

  1. Go to the configuration file(s) location.
  2. Open SumacEngine.ini.
  3. Change MaxAnisotropy=4 to MaxAnisotropy=16.

Anti-aliasing (AA)

Force SGSSAA (Nvidia only)[3]
  1. Download and open Nvidia Profile Inspector.
  2. Open the Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway profile.
  3. Set Antialiasing Compatibility to 0x000010C1.
  4. Set Antialiasing Mode to Override any application setting.
  5. Set Antialiasing Setting to 4x Multisampling or your desired level of MSAA.
  6. Set Antialiasing Transparency Supersampling to 4x Sparse Grid Supersampling or your desired level of SGSSAA.
  7. Apply changes and close the program.
