Issues fixed

3D Acceleration Not Supported error on modern versions of Windows

Fixes 3D acceleration, improves performance and allows support for higher resolutions.
Install the Bejeweled Twist patch[1]
  1. Download the Bejeweled Twist patch here
  2. Open the .zip file and open the bejeweled-twist folder.
  3. Extract the relevant folder of the edition (Steam, Origin, PopCap) of the game to <path-to-game>.
  4. Copy the BejeweledTwist-nosig+vmem+vcard.exe and compat.cfg to <path-to-game>.
  5. Rename the .exe file to BejeweledTwist.exe.
  6. Run the game and enable 3D acceleration. Change the resolution as desired.

Notes

If 3D acceleration still refuses to be enabled, run the included Test3D-clean.reg file.
The original .exe for Bejeweled Twist is included as a backup if something breaks.

Notes

  1. 1.0 1.1 File/folder structure within this directory reflects the path(s) listed for Windows and/or Steam game data (use Wine regedit to access Windows registry paths). Games with Steam Cloud support may store data in ~/.steam/steam/userdata/<user-id>/3560/ in addition to or instead of this directory. The app ID (3560) may differ in some cases. Treat backslashes as forward slashes. See the glossary page for details.
  2. When running this game without elevated privileges (Run as administrator option), write operations against a location below %PROGRAMFILES%, %PROGRAMDATA%, or %WINDIR% might be redirected to %LOCALAPPDATA%\VirtualStore on Windows Vista and later (more details).
