Issues fixed

3D Acceleration Not Supported error on modern versions of Windows

Fixes 3D acceleration, improves performance and allows support for higher resolutions.
Use WineD3D
  1. Download the latest version of WineD3D here
  2. Open the .zip file and open the bejeweled-3 folder.
  3. Copy the contents of the unzipped file to the bejeweled-3 folder.
  4. Start the game.

Notes

To save space, look at this for hints on figuring out which of the files are enough to copy over.
Install the Bejeweled 3 patch[2]
  1. Download the Bejeweled 3 patch here
  2. Open the .zip file and open the bejeweled-3 folder.
  3. Extract the relevant folder of the edition (Steam, Origin, PopCap) of the game to <path-to-game>.
  4. Copy the Bejeweled3-nosig+vmem+vcard.exe and compat.cfg to <path-to-game>.
  5. Rename the .exe file to Bejeweled3.exe.
  6. Run the game and enable 3D acceleration. Change the resolution as desired.

Notes

If 3D acceleration still refuses to be enabled, run the included Test3D-clean.reg file.
The original .exe for Bejeweled 3 is included as a backup if something breaks.

Notes

  1. 1.0 1.1 File/folder structure within this directory reflects the path(s) listed for Windows and/or Steam game data (use Wine regedit to access Windows registry paths). Games with Steam Cloud support may store data in ~/.steam/steam/userdata/<user-id>/78000/ in addition to or instead of this directory. The app ID (78000) may differ in some cases. Treat backslashes as forward slashes. See the glossary page for details.
