Version differences
- Beat Hazard Ultra is an updated version of Beat Hazard (Classic) that adds new content, achievements, and for the Steam version, online multiplayer. Most digital distribution versions carry Beat Hazard Ultra while the Steam version features the Ultra content as a standalone expansion.

Issues unresolved
Xbox One controller incompatibility (DRM-free version)
- The DRM-free release does not detect the inputs from the Xbox One controller beyond the title screen and the game does not allow players to assign their inputs.[4]
