VR support
Issues fixed
- TweakGuides has created a comprehensive guide for fixing issues in this game.
Steam version crashes on startup
Character audio problem
Game audio plays, but no visuals
Regular stutter, especially in the Kingdom
Short freezing when killing an enemy/talking to an NPC
On occasion, the game may try to connect to some Ubisoft servers, which could be down. This will result in choppy audio in-game and freezing. Two solutions exist:
Controller support doesn't work correctly
- Assassin's Creed (and Assassin's Creed II) have problems with button mapping and recognition. Use x360ce.
- Automatically installed Xbox One controller drivers have issues install older drivers listed below
- This fix is incompatible with Windows 10.
Game always starts up in Windowed Mode
By default, the game should run in fullscreen mode. However, occasionally, the game forces itself into windowed mode, and, as there is no fullscreen mode available in the options section. Return to fullscreen mode with Alt+↵ Enter or use the -fullscreen
command line argument.
Crash when installed in a Storage Space
The game will refuse to run when installed on a drive which is managed by a Storage Space on Windows 8 and later.
Leap of Faith jumps result in death
- In addition to visual glitches, playing with more than 60 FPS causes the Leap of Faith jumps to not work correctly, leading to the player characters death upon impact.
