Black screen

Disable other screens^[2]
If you're using multiple screens, disable all but the one you're planning to use to play the game.

Disable Visual Themes and Desktop Compositions^[1]
Go to the installation folder. Right click on `AquaNox 2 Revelation.exe` and choose Properties. Go to Compatibility tab. In there, check Disable Visual Themes and Disable Desktop Composition.

Edit configuration file^[1]

If all of that won't help, edit %USERPROFILE%\Documents\AquaNox2\Config.txt
Scroll to the very end of the file. There, you should find settings for rendering resolution - dsp_height and dsp_width.
Edit their values to match the resolution of a screen you're using. e.g. for 1440x900 the fragment should look like this:
