Issues fixed

Black screen

Disable other screens[2]
  • If you're using multiple screens, disable all but the one you're planning to use to play the game.
Disable Visual Themes and Desktop Compositions[1]
  1. Go to the installation folder.
  2. Right click on AquaNox 2 Revelation.exe and choose Properties.
  3. Go to Compatibility tab.
  4. In there, check Disable Visual Themes and Disable Desktop Composition.
Edit configuration file[1]
  1. If all of that won't help, edit %USERPROFILE%\Documents\AquaNox2\Config.txt
  2. Scroll to the very end of the file. There, you should find settings for rendering resolution - dsp_height and dsp_width.
  3. Edit their values to match the resolution of a screen you're using. e.g. for 1440x900 the fragment should look like this:
[CVar196]
{
	Name = "dsp_height"
	Type = "s32"
	Value = 900
}

[CVar197]
{
	Name = "dsp_width"
	Type = "s32"
	Value = 1440
}

Notes

  1. 1.0 1.1 File/folder structure within this directory reflects the path(s) listed for Windows and/or Steam game data (use Wine regedit to access Windows registry paths). Games with Steam Cloud support may store data in ~/.steam/steam/userdata/<user-id>/39640/ in addition to or instead of this directory. The app ID (39640) may differ in some cases. Treat backslashes as forward slashes. See the glossary page for details.
