Change `MaxSmoothedFrameRate`^{[citation needed]}
Go to configuration file(s) location. Open the `AlienBreedEp1Engine.ini` file with Notepad or other text editor. Using the Find function (`Ctrl`+`F`), search for `MaxSmoothedFrameRate`. There will be exactly one entry. Change its value to desired frame rate, eg. `MaxSmoothedFrameRate=120`. Save the file and launch the game.

Disable `SmoothedFrameRate`^{[citation needed]}
Go to configuration file(s) location Open the `AlienBreedEp1Engine.ini` file with Notepad or other text editor. Using the Find function (`Ctrl`+`F`), search for `bSmoothedFrameRate`. There will be exactly one entry. Change it to `bSmoothedFrameRate=False`. Save the file and launch the game.
