07 March - Permanent file hosting solution in progress
The most requested feature of the site so far has been for a long term solution for hosting files. This is especially important for rarer files such as old patches or utilities, which may be difficult to find on the internet due to link rot. After much discussion with the community about different file hosting options, JRWR and I have pulled the trigger on a new solution which will be webseed hosting (a combination of web hosting and BitTorrent). Once the new file system has been fully tested, we will rewrite our file hosting policies, and provide a clear path for people wishing to mirror files on PCGamingWiki for the long term future.
