Steamworks

Steamworks is a platform API that provides game creators the ability to better integrate their game with Steam. There are many tools available from Steamworks, including Steam friends support, VAC integration, matchmaking, and Steam achievements. Additionally, there is support for Steam Cloud integration, voice chat, and networking tools. These tools are freely provided by Steam.
