- Following table does not indicate whatever the games are fully playable!
Game | Translation Layer | Starts? | Playable? | Recommended refresh-rate | Recommended FPS cap | Comment |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Arabian Nights | Proton 7.0-4 | x | x | Serious issues with controls. It's possible that it can be fixed. | ||
Asghan: The Dragon Slayer | Proton 7.0-4 | x | x | Can't install :( | ||
Blood: Fresh Supply | Proton 7.0-4 | x | x | Massive lag spikes and freezes as of now. | ||
Clive Barker's Jericho | Proton 7.0-4 | 60 Hz | 60 fps | No visible issues so far. | ||
Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise | Proton 7.0-4 | 40 Hz | 40 fps | Starts without issues, should probably be limited to 40 for smooth framerate. Requires some tinkering to get my hack running (instructions on Github). | ||
Deus Ex | Proton 7.0-4 | 60 Hz | 60 fps | Surprisingly starts without issues. But to make it playable, you'll probably need keyboard and mouse anyway. Or get really creative with your bindings. | ||
Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director's Cut | Proton 7.0-4 | 60 Hz | 60 fps | Launcher is a bit annoying, but once you get past to it - seems to be a smooth sailing with FPS being pretty much locked at 60 and battery not draining too fast. Surprising, considering how bad frame pacing is on powerful PC on Windows. | ||
Death Stranding: Director's Cut | Proton 7.0-4 | 40 Hz / 60 Hz | 40 fps / 30 fps | No problems noticed so far. Probably worth capping to 40 or maybe even 30. | ||
Fallout | Proton 7.0-4 | 60 Hz | 60 fps | Hard to play because of its control method. | ||
Hrot | Proton 7.0-4 | x | x | Massive performance issues, but the performance has increased since Proton 6, so it might be working fine soon. | ||
Jets'n'Guns 2 | Proton 7.0-4 | x | x | Crashes at start. | ||
Need for Speed: Most Wanted | Proton 7.0-4 | 60 Hz | 60 fps | No issues observed so far. | ||
RAGE | Proton 7.0-4 / Proton Experimental / GE-Proton 7-35 | x | x | Textures are corrupted, sadly. Would be a really fun game to play on a deck otherwise. | ||
Resident Evil HD Remaster | Proton 7.0-4 | 40 Hz / 60 Hz | 40 fps / 30 fps | For whatever reason, it seems to be pushing GPU quite hard, so it's best to lower screen refresh to 40 Hz to extend battery life (it eats around 15-17 WATs then) or even 60 Hz, 30 fps. | ||
Ryse: Son of Rome | Proton 7.0-4 | Seems to have no issues looking great and running great, although a cap at 40 (or 30) is something I would recommend. | ||||
SimRail - The Railway Simulator: Prologue | Proton 7.0-4 | 60 Hz | 30 fps | Can't rotate camera. It's possible it may be playable if a mouse is plugged it, but other than that - unplayable. FPS around 30. | ||
SimRail - The Railway Simulator | GE-Proton 7-34 | 60 Hz | 30 fps | Somehow despite not many changes to the code - it has no issue with camera rotation. 30 fps cap is pretty much required. Crashes on normal preset (one of the settings seems to be crashing it). | ||
Sleeping Dogs | Proton 7.0-4 | 50 Hz / 60 Hz | 50 fps / 60 fps | Runs at 60 fps without much of an issue. Bumping graphics to maximum (aside from AA) will probably make it run around 30 though. | ||
The Forgotten City | Proton 7.0-4 | 60 Hz | 30 fps | Framerate is a bit inconsistent - probably worth just capping it to 30 or playing a bit with settings. | ||
Tunnel Rats | Proton 7.0-4 | 60 Hz | 60 fps | For whatever reason, this game that is a massive pain in the ass to run on Windows has no problems on Deck. Only problem is you need to install PhysX legacy drivers manually. | ||
White Day: A Labyrinth Named School | Proton 7.0-4 | 50 Hz / 60 Hz | 50 fps / 60 fps | Smooth sailing at pretty locked 60 fps (from what I have tried) and around 10 WAT usage. A bit surprising considering Denuvo. | ||
XCOM: Enemy Unknown | Proton 7.0-4 | 40 Hz | 40 fps | No issues what so ever. Although it might be worth setting the screen refresh to 40 and capping the game to that to extend battery life and make FPS consistent. | ||
XCOM 2 | Proton 7.0-4 | 40 Hz | 40 fps | Stars without issues, but it is significantly more annoying to play than the first game in reboot series. Requires some tinkering with controls. Capping the game to 40 is also a good idea. |
