High frame rate

Remove 60 FPS cap

The frame rate cap is caused by the "Smooth Frame Rate" feature in Unreal Engine. Disabling the feature removes the cap.

  1. Go to the configuration file(s) location
  2. Open Engine.ini
  3. Add [/Script/Engine.Engine] at the bottom (if not already present)
  4. Add bSmoothFrameRate=false one line below [/Script/Engine.Engine]

Alternatively, the frame rate range of the "Smooth Frame Rate" feature can be modified.

  1. Perform the first 3 steps above
  2. Add SmoothedFrameRateRange=(LowerBound=(Type="ERangeBoundTypes::Inclusive",Value=30),UpperBound=(Type="ERangeBoundTypes::Exclusive",Value=120)) one line below [/Script/Engine.Engine]
  3. (Optional) modify the values after Value= to set the minimum and maximum frame rate targets you want.
