The HORI Real Arcade Pro are a series of arcade game controllers released by Hori since July 29, 2004.

A successor to the Real Arcade, the Real Arcade Pro has a wider and heavy chassis that weighted about 2.6kg. It has a plastic construction with metal face plate and bottom plate. Most models has turbo functions. Some models has Hori's own arcade layout, while some has Noir arcade layout.

Models with the "SA" moniker comes with the Sanwa joystick and buttons, while models with the "SE" monikers comes with the Seimitsu joystick and buttons. Models without either monikers will usually have Sanwa or Seimitsu joystick with Hori's own buttons.

There had been many model released from 2004 to 2011. The Real Arcade Pro is the first release in the lineup and has Hori arcade layout. The original Real Arcade Pro was followed by the Real Arcade Pro 2, released on September 16, 2005, which is the first model with a Noir layout. The Real Arcade Pro 3, released on February 8, 2007, is the first model with PlayStation 3 compatiblity. The Real Arcade Pro 3 has an Xbox-360-compatible model in the form of the Real Arcade Pro EX, released on July 10, 2008.

The Real Arcade Pro is the first model in the lineup. It is a PlayStation-2-compatible model and come with Sanwa JLF-TP-8Y-SK joystick and Hori's original buttons. There are two versions of the same model available: One with a mirror finish face plate and the other one with a standard face plate. It has the Hori arcade layout and has turbo function.
The Capcom Fighing Jam Stick is a collaboration model based on the RAP 1, made specifically for the game Capcom Fighing Jam.
The Real Arcade Pro SA is a version of the RAP 1 with a Sanwa JLF-TP-8Y-SK joystick and the Sanwa OBSF-30RG and OBSF-24 buttons. It has the Noir arcade layout.

The screws on the face plate were changed from the button-type screws to the m3 screws, allowing user to remove the plate to customize it. It come with Sanwa JLF-TP-8Y-SK joystick and Hori's original buttons, and has a Noir arcade layout. It has turbo function.
The Soulcalibur III Stick is a collaboration model based on the RAP 1, made specifically for the game Soulcalibur III. It lack the turbo function.

Use with PC platforms

Windows

Models with native XInput support must set the slider to PC Mode for them to work as native XInput devices under Windows.
Models without XInput support will acts as generic DirectInput devices.

XInput wrapping

Models without native XInput support will acts as native DirectInput controller, so it's possible to use any of the generic wrappers. See the controller article for those.

Steam

Models without XInput support are recognized as generic DirectInput devices by Steam, thus requiring manual button mappings via Steam Input.
Models with XInput support are recognized as Xbox 360 Controllers.

Support In Games

Games with generic DirectInput support are supported by the models without XInput support, however button placements may be out of place and need to be rebound. Refer to game-specific articles for rebinding support.
Models with native XInput support are natively supported by most modern games via XInput. Sometimes, the controllers will be recognized as Xbox 360 controllers.
