FromSoftware is a Japanese video game development and publishing company, and is primary owned by Kadokawa Corporation, with Sixjoy Hong Kong (a subsdiary company of Tencent) and Sony Interactive Entertainment owning the minority stakes of the company.
The company was founded on November 1, 1986, but had only start developing video games in 1994 with the release of King's Field on PlayStation. FromSoftware later start developing and publishing games on PC in 2000, with the release of Sword of Moonlight: King’s Field Making Tool.
