The support for supplementary features like the internal speaker, headphone jack, gyroscope, lightbar, adaptive trigers and haptic feedback varies between models, type of connection, and games/software.

Lacks native XInput support, requiring the use of a XInput wrapper in games that don't support it.

General information

DualSense wireless controller | The innovative new controller for PS5 | PlayStation

Use with PC platforms

Windows

Connecting the controller should automatically download and install latest drivers for the controller.
Custom application reWASD lets remap whole controller. Software gives advanced customization options eg. reassigning buttons to keyboard or mouse actions, macros, activate custom modes etc.

XInput wrapping

Acting as native DirectInput controller, it's possible to use any of the generic wrappers. See the controller article for those.

Steam

Steam Input

Opting into the Steam Beta is required for DualSense support.
Has rumble, trackpad and gyro support. Can also be used over bluetooth.[1]
Doesn't support the adaptive triggers.

Steam Link compatibility

Wired or wireless works.[2] Press the PlayStation+Share to power up and be detected by Steam Link. All buttons are mapped correctly.
Works without any drivers on any operating system that supports Steam.
Can be used just to send input from a controller to a PC. Go into Streaming options, hit and disable video and audio streaming.
Won't work great unless you connect it to LAN or a low latency Wi-Fi.

Support in games

Games with generic DirectInput support are supported by the controller, however button placements may be out of place and need to be rebound. Refer to game-specific articles for rebinding support.

Adaptive Triggers and Haptic Feedback

There is no PC game which supports adaptive triggers and haptic feedback yet.
DualSenseSupport software is demonstrating how DualSense haptics are working on PC.

Light bar

Number of games which support light bar is limited and light bar support is still not a PC standard.
Aurora is a third party, open source solution for handling RGB lighting which is extending list of supported games. List can be found in project's Github page.
Steam Input configuration is letting to control light bar.

Games with DualSense button prompts

Please note, that this is only list for games that offer DualSense/DualShock button prompts.
