Learn how to upload and use a file.
Image And Video Files
Uploading images can be done through the Special:Upload page.
The preferred image formats are SVG, PNG, JPEG, and XCF. Videos must be Ogg files using the Theora video codec. Choose a good name for the media file before you upload it, as it cannot be renamed.

Linking Other Files
It is always better to link to a page or thread rather than a file. However, if a file cannot be found anywhere, then uploading and direct linking to a service such as MediaFire is encouraged.
Free services include:
Utilities, patches and are essential for getting certain games to run. Many services also cease to operate over a large period of time. Therefore it is important to have multiple mirrors of file wherever possible.
The Citadel Project
PCGamingWiki is also hosting the Citadel Project, which is a service for hosting rare file. Please refer to the Citadel Project's talk page to make a request for a file to be hosted by us.
We are particularly interested in rare utilities and patches which cannot be found elsewhere, but any file can be requested to be uploaded to this service.
